Welcome to Shatakam ("we", "our", "us"), an AI-powered personal health coaching application developed and operated by PIZISTE INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in India.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Shatakam mobile application (package: com.shatakam.healthcoach). Please read this carefully. By using Shatakam, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Account information: Username, email address (required), date of birth, gender. Email is required for account recovery and communication.
Authentication: You may register using a username and password, or sign in using Google Sign-In (OAuth). Passwords are stored using secure salted hashing — we never store plain-text passwords.
Health profile: Height, weight, activity level, dietary preferences, health goals, medical conditions (optional)
Daily check-in data: Sleep hours, energy level, mood, stress, hydration, exercise, nutrition quality
Food logs: Meals logged via text, photo, or barcode scan
Medical records: Blood reports and prescriptions uploaded to your Health Vault (optional)
Conversations: Messages sent to the AI health coach
Body measurements: Weight logs, height, step counts
Progress photos: Optional photos uploaded to your vault
Cycle data: Menstrual cycle information (optional, for female users)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device information: Device type, operating system, app version
Usage data: Features used, session duration, check-in frequency
Push notification token: For delivering health reminders and notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging
Step count and activity data: Read from Google Health Connect with your explicit permission
Crash logs and diagnostics: For identifying and fixing technical issues

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect payment information (handled entirely by Google Play)
We do not access your contacts or precise location
We do not collect data from other apps on your device
We do not use advertising IDs or track you for advertising purposes
We do not share your data with advertising partners

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide personalised AI health coaching, meal plans, and workout recommendations
Calculate your daily health score and track trends over time
Generate your weekly health narrative and burnout risk assessment
Send health reminders, check-in nudges, medicine reminders, and milestone notifications
Analyse patterns in your health data to predict burnout and recommend recovery
Read blood reports and prescriptions to detect potential nutritional deficiencies
Send welcome and account-related emails
Improve the accuracy of our AI models (using anonymised, aggregated data only)

4. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Railway.app (cloud infrastructure) with PostgreSQL database storage in a secure region. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Your health vault files are stored securely and are only accessible by you.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Shatakam:

OpenAI (GPT-4o): Powers the AI coach responses and food image analysis. Data sent is limited to your message and relevant health context. OpenAI's data usage policy applies.
Anthropic (Claude): Used for certain AI coaching responses. Only relevant health context is shared per request.
Google Firebase (FCM): Used for push notifications. No health data is shared with Firebase beyond notification delivery tokens.
Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method. We receive your Google account name and email only. No other Google data is accessed.
Google Health Connect: Optional integration to read step count, activity, sleep, and heart rate data. Data is only read with your explicit permission and used solely to enhance your health coaching.
Open Food Facts: Public food database used for nutrition lookup. No personal data is shared.
Railway.app: Backend hosting provider. Data is processed within their infrastructure.
Razorpay: Payment processing for premium subscriptions (India). We do not store payment card details.

⚠ When you upload a food photo or prescription for AI analysis, the image is processed by OpenAI's API. Images are not stored by OpenAI beyond the immediate API call per their data usage policy.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

With service providers listed in Section 5 who operate under data processing agreements
If required by law, court order, or government authority in India
To protect the safety of users or prevent fraud
With your explicit consent

7. Children's Privacy

Shatakam is intended for users aged 18 and above. The app contains health tracking features including medicine management, menstrual cycle tracking, and wellness coaching that are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately at kunjsheth98@gmail.com and we will delete the account.

8. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Correction: Update incorrect information via Profile settings in the app
Deletion: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data — available directly in the app or via email
Export: Request your health data in a readable format
Opt-out: Disable notifications at any time in Profile → Alerts

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption, secure token-based authentication (JWT), salted password hashing, and encrypted storage. Passwords are never stored in plain text. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your credentials confidential.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or in-app message. Continued use of Shatakam after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By downloading, installing, or using Shatakam ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PIZISTE INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED.

2. Description of Service

Shatakam is an AI-powered personal health coaching application that provides:

Personalised health coaching via an AI assistant
Daily health check-in tracking and analysis
Meal planning and nutrition guidance
Exercise and movement recommendations
Health score tracking and trend analysis
Blood report and prescription reading (AI-assisted, for informational purposes only)
Medicine reminders and health notifications
Burnout risk prediction and recovery planning
Weekly health narrative generation

3. Important Medical Disclaimer

⚠ SHATAKAM IS NOT A MEDICAL SERVICE. Shatakam is a personal wellness and lifestyle coaching app. It is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content generated by the AI is for general wellness and informational purposes only.

You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions about your health, medications, or treatment. Shatakam's AI-generated insights, meal plans, workout recommendations, and analysis of blood reports are not substitutes for professional medical advice.

In case of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Shatakam for emergency medical guidance.

4. User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use Shatakam
A valid email address is required to create an account
Passwords must meet minimum strength requirements enforced during registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
One person may not maintain multiple accounts
Google Sign-In is available as an alternative authentication method

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App
Use automated scripts or bots to access the App
Share your account credentials with others
Upload content that violates third-party rights or contains malicious code
Use the App to harass, harm, or deceive other users
Attempt to access another user's health data

6. Subscription and Payments

Shatakam offers free and premium subscription tiers. New users receive a 7-day free Premium trial upon registration — no payment information required. Premium features are available via in-app purchase through Google Play or Razorpay (India). All payments processed by Google Play are subject to their terms. We do not store your payment card information.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You may cancel anytime through your Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled per Google Play's refund policy.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Shatakam — including but not limited to the AI models, user interface design, weekly health narratives, and the Shatakam brand — are owned by PIZISTE INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED and are protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws.

The brand name "Shatakam" is a trademark of PIZISTE INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED. Unauthorised use of the brand is prohibited.

You retain ownership of the personal health data you input into the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to process your data to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PIZISTE INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED shall not be liable for:

Any health outcomes resulting from following AI-generated advice
Loss of data due to technical failures
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App
Interruptions to service due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Shatakam shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time directly within the App or by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our data retention policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

How to Delete Your Account & Data

Google Play requires all apps to provide a way to request account and data deletion, accessible without logging in.

You can request complete deletion of your Shatakam account and all associated personal data using any of the following methods:

Method 1 — Delete Directly In the App (Fastest)

If you have access to your account:

Open Shatakam
Go to Profile tab
Scroll to Account section
Tap Delete Account
Confirm deletion

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately. This action cannot be undone.

Method 2 — Email Request (Without App Access)

If you cannot access your account, send an email to kunjsheth98@gmail.com with:

Subject: Account Deletion Request — Shatakam
Your registered username or email address
Confirmation that you want all data deleted

We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

What Gets Deleted

✅ All daily check-in data

✅ All coach conversation history
✅ Food logs and nutrition data
✅ Uploaded blood reports, prescriptions, and progress photos
✅ Medicine reminders and notification preferences
✅ FCM push notification token
✅ All personally identifiable information
✅ Cycle tracking data
✅ Health vault contents

What Is Retained

Anonymised, aggregated statistical data that cannot identify you (e.g. "X% of users sleep under 6 hours") may be retained for product improvement.
Transaction records required by law for financial compliance.

Timeline

In-app deletion is immediate. Email-requested deletion is processed within 30 days of receiving a confirmed request. You will receive an email confirmation once the process is complete.
